The new digital personal health record for your child
The traditional paper redbook, given to parents following the birth of their child has been upgraded and has now gone digital and is available antenatally. Now known as an eRedbook, parents can access and store antenatal information, their child’s key health and development milestones as well as any identified health and care issues, via a couple of clicks.
Free to use and accessible on a range of digital devices, including smart phones, laptops, desktops, the eRedbook gives greater control to parents allowing them to receive timely information and work with health professionals in a collaborative partnership. The eRedbook allows them to store pregnancy scans, note health appointments, child pictures and even record questions for upcoming health visitor and GP appointments.
Part of the NHS England Digital Child Health Transformation Programme, a key feature of the eRedbook is that it gives parents greater control and awareness of their child’s care.
