What we do

Health Visitors are nurses or midwives with specialist training in family and public health. We help families improve their health outcomes during pregnancy, after your baby is born, all the way through until your child is five.

We work as part of a multi skilled team incorporating staff nurses, nursery nurses and support workers.

The Health Visiting service is part of the larger 0-19 service.

We work closely with partner agencies, such as Children & Family Centres, Nurseries, GPs, Maternity Services, and voluntary organisations.
