Check out the new Care Group DNA

The Care Group has its own DNA helix. There are four strands which make up all things Care Group.

Posted on: 22 July 2025

Our Executive Team has developed a DNA which shows four key strands representing everything we do.

The four strands are:

  • Working with General Practice
  • Neighbourhood Based Healthcare Provider
  • Social Value
  • Training and Education.

The four strands replace the previous three strategic areas of: Federated Support, Preferred Provider and Anchor Organisation.

Working with General Practice as system-level representation for Tower Hamlets GPs, and co-ordination of General Practice within the borough.

Our work as a Neighbourhood Based Healthcare Provider will deliver neighbourhood-integrated primary care, urgent care and community care.

Our Social Value strand is about enabling healthier communities, buying local, promoting environmental sustainability and offering training and employment opportunities for residents.

Our Training and Education strand includes delivery of the North East London Training Hub, and our own training unit, delivered across multiple areas.

Zainab Arian, Chief Executive Officer, said: “Our DNA represents all of the core strands of activity of the Care Group. Everything we do should be about delivering against this work. Setting out our work in this way should bring clarity to the work we do and help present a clear picture of our activities to residents, partners and commissioners.”

This strategic update will align our organisation with the NHS 10 Year Health Plan.
