This year’s Tower Hamlets Together (THT) Summer Fair also held the announcements of the winners for the THT Awards, recognising the efforts and innovation of individuals and services in the THT partnership. The fair showcases the range of services offered across the THT partnership organisations including Care Group. It was great to see so many colleagues from across THT come together on Tuesday 15 July in Mile End Hospital Gardens for some mostly sunny weather, interactive games and free health checks from our Integrated Urgent and Primary Care Services.
Each year the stall holders are judged by their exhibit and ‘Young Barts at Mile End Hospital’ were announced as ‘best stall’ and presented with a winning hamper for their originality, interactive games and for their friendly and knowledgeable exhibitors. Care Group were proud runners up alongside Tower Hamlets Recovery College and Bromley by Bow Health Centre.
Several colleagues and services in the Care Group and Primary Care were also nominated for the THT Awards, this year presented during the fair. It was special to see so many colleagues recognised for their contributions to improving the health of our residents. Our own Maju Miah, Head of Primary Care Development, and Greta Gurjar, Health Visitor/MECSH Supervisor, were both highly commended in the Shape Shifter Award for Flexibility and Adaptability and Ray of Sunshine categories respectively.
Primary Care colleagues were also highlighted as visionaries with the Visionary Award being jointly awarded to both Dega Hassan, Care Coordinator at the One Network Alliance (PCN 1) and Mohammed Al-Mahfuz, Practice Manager at Health E1.
