Care Group accredited as a Living Wage Employer

Ensuring all staff and contractors are fairly rewarded for their important work.

Care Group is celebrating its recent accreditation as a Living Wage Employer. This means Care Group is committed to paying all employees and regular, contracted staff at least the Real Living Wage, which is higher than the government’s National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage.

The Real Living Wage is independently calculated each year by the Living Wage Foundation, based on what people need to meet everyday living costs. By becoming a Living Wage Employer, Care Group ensures that everyone who contributes to the organisation is fairly rewarded for the important work they do.

Currently the Living Wage rate in London is £13.85 and Care Group pays its lowest paid employees and zero hours staff £14.27 per hour.

Ife Gidado, Head of People Services, said: “We’re delighted to share that the Care Group is now officially accredited as a Living Wage Employer. We’re proud to take this step as part of Care Group’s ongoing commitment to valuing our people, supporting financial wellbeing, and ensuring fair pay across the organisation.”
