Care Group pilots community health checks with Tower Hamlets Council

Community Heart Check programme launched in Tower Hamlets to address residents' heart health.

Posted on: 10 June 2025

We have partnered with Tower Hamlets Council to offer free community health checks for residents across the borough, as part of a pilot scheme, until November 2025. This follows our successful delivery of more than 1,800 workplace health checks in the past year.

Our first delivery in the community took place in Mile End Park at the Ecology Pavilion in early June.

Providing these checks helps prevent ill health by identifying key risk factors early. These checks are designed to support heart health and overall wellbeing.

The Community Heart Check includes:

  • Smoking status
  • BMI (Body Mass Index)
  • Alcohol risk
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Type 2 diabetes risk score.

Working with the council, we are keen to work with local schools, education settings, community groups, faith settings, and other organisations to ensure these free health checks are accessible to as many residents as possible. If you represent a local organisation and you’re interested in hosting a Community Heart Check session, you can make a booking via the link below.
