A group of eight colleagues from primary and social care celebrated completing the first National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) training funded by the Care Group as part of its social value initiative.
This four-week course focuses on training individuals to deliver ear acupuncture in the community. The 5-point ear acupuncture treatment has its roots in detox services. It gained traction across the world in disaster zones, conflict, mental health and chronic disease. Participants will deliver group sessions to colleagues and service users in their respective organisations.
Farrah Idris, NADA Trainer, said: “Thank you to the Care Group for funding these exceptional individuals who will continue to make meaningful contribution to the health of their communities.”
Congratulations to Dr Ballal, Rahana, Marija, Janice, Jill, Farhan, Shaminaz and Jessica!
