We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Shera Chok as the GP Care Group's Medical Director. Dr Chok's appointment will provide leadership and support for all of our medical staff and help to broaden and strength the expertise of the Care Group's leadership team.
The GP Care Group's service portfolio has grown and diversified rapidly in the last few months, and as a result, we have employed a number of doctors directly to our organisation. The appointment of a medical director will provide guidance and direction to this cohort of colleagues.
Dr Chok has worked in Tower Hamlets for several years and is familiar to many colleagues in general practice. Most recently Dr Chok worked in community services in Derbyshire and brings a perspective on the delivery of primary care, and integration of general practice and community services that is highly relevant to the way services are being joined up in Tower Hamlets.
