Introducing the GP Care Group’s forward plan

Posted on: 28 April 2023

The GP Care Group is always striving for ways to improve the quality of care we provide to the populations we serve, and how we can support and inspire our workforce. To ensure that we achieve this our Acting Chief Executive Officer, Zainab Arian, is sharing some of the GP Care Group’s key areas of focus for the coming months.

She said: “The GP Care Group is a unique organisation, one I am super proud to be a part of. We have grown, adapted and innovated over the past seven years. Moving into a new financial year and under new leadership I want to ensure we retain what makes us so special whilst maximizing the impact we can have to our communities, members and system partners.”

“There will no doubt be challenges to come, but I am excited to embark on this journey together and look forward to achieving our collective objectives in the years ahead.”

A forward plan

Read on to learn some of the important areas that the Care Group will focus on in the coming months.

Federated Primary Care Support

As we move forward the GP Care Group will enhance the support we provide to our general practice, working closely with GP practices, primary care networks and leaders both at place and integrated care system level.

Preferred Partner

System working across organisational boundaries is the only real way the organisation can look to tackle some of the challenges the health care system is currently facing. We will continue to work together, facilitating, innovating and delivering high quality services. Improving outcomes for everyone who uses our services.

World Class Employer

Our biggest asset is our workforce, which is why we will focus on ensuring we foster talent and enable progression within the organisation. We will continue to create safe working spaces and champion ideas at grass root levels. As a community interest organisation, we are very much embedded in our local community. The Care Group will use the links we have with schools and universities to help provide a route into employment for our young people.
