In mid-March, the Care Group held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), and a highlight was a wonderful send-off for its outgoing Chief Executive Officers Tracy Cannell and Chris Banks.
This year’s AGM, as Chris Banks noted: “was an opportunity to talk about what we’ve done, what we’ve achieved, our highlights and the opportunity to ask any questions.”
The evening gave a trip down memory lane as Tracy and Chris shared fond memories of their time at the Care Group which included lots of tea parties, cricket matches, winning awards and various contracts to see the organisation grow to its current size of about 850 employees.
During the evening, Tracy and Chris highlighted the Care Group’s success in working in partnership and in an agile way in times of crisis such as COVID.
Acknowledging individuals they have worked with, from the Care Group workforce, local partners in the health system and the public sector, Tracy said: “Thank you for your support and friendship. It’s been an absolute blast.”
Refreshments in the form of sandwiches, cupcakes, samosas and drinks soon followed and an impressive cake was cut in Chris and Tracy’s honour. Special thanks to the Training Hub team and Jerome John, Care Group Corporate Manager, for organising the event and putting together a special hamper and photo albums.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to Tracy and Chris’s ‘leaving gift’ which they requested be a donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Turkey Earthquake appeal.
