My Planned Care: Support while waiting for an appointment, operation or treatment

Posted on: 27 May 2022

Are you waiting for a hospital appointment, operation or treatment? The NHS’s recently launched ‘My Planned Care’ website gives you help and advice while you wait to be seen.

This includes access to average waiting times at your hospital and other useful advice and local services, including helping you to prepare for your hospital appointment.

Updated weekly, the site is easy-to-use, and your carers, friends, relatives and NHS teams can also see this information and help guide you, if needed.

The waiting time information is updated once a week. There is also lots of advice about how to manage pain, keep healthy, look after your mental health, access financial help and other local support services.

It also provides information to help people prepare for their appointment or operation, practical suggestions about how to manage symptoms and help prevent these from getting worse including specific advice about knee and hip replacements, with more advice for other conditions coming soon.
