No Place for Hate: GP Care Group signs the pledge

Posted on: 4 October 2019

With National Hate Crime Awareness Week just around the corner (12-19 October 2019), work is picking up pace to show that there is "No Place for Hate" in Tower Hamlets. The council is encouraging local organisations to sign up to the No Place for Hate pledge and the GP Care Group wasted no time in signing up.

The Council is encouraging sign-ups to their No Place for Hate (NPFH) Personal Pledges too and are holding a competition to see which organisation/ individual (including Practices) can obtain most the signatories.

The council's renewed focus on the pledge links with the start of National Hate Crime Awareness Week, which raises awareness of what hate crime is and stands up for those affected by it.

So far, nearly 4,000 individuals and 160 separate organisations have already signed up to the No Place for Hate pledge. Pledging is quick, easy and free to do and the Care Group is encouraging all colleagues to sign up and make a personal pledge. Simply visit: www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/npfh

The competition for organisations / individual that can get the most signatories began on 1 October and will end on 19 October 2019. A certificate and trophy for the most pledges in an organisation will be awarded thereafter.
