North East London Sunrise Hub: A haven for children affected by sexual abuse

The North East London Sunrise Hub, formerly known as the Child Sexual Abuse Hub, continues to support children and young people who have suffered sexual abuse.

Posted on: 5 April 2024

The North East London Sunrise Hub service is supported by children’s doctors, nursing teams, health play specialists, and wellbeing practitioners.

A spokesperson for the hub said: “Our service offers a holistic, child-centred, and integrated approach to supporting the recovery of children and their families who have been affected by sexual abuse.”

Along with their new name and new identity, the service is launching a new health and emotional wellbeing joint referral form.

Health professionals who have concerns about a child who has been sexually abused still have a duty to refer the child into their local Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). Please do use this local safeguarding process.
