Parents and Carers to get SMS reminders about child immunisations

From 1 November 2021, as part of NHS England and the UK Health Security Agency’s work to improve childhood immunisation uptake in London, parents, and carers will receive a text message when their child is due or overdue an immunisation. 

These text reminders will cover your child’s 0-5 immunisation schedule only. 

 

Read the information below to find out what the text reminders will include.

Due immunisation

Dear [parent’s name], A reminder that your child born on [date of birth] is due for her/his vaccination. Please contact your GP practice to arrange an appointment. You can find out more at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/. To opt-out from future text message reminders reply 1. 

 

Overdue immunisation

Dear [parent’s name], According to our record your child DOB [date of birth] has not received her vaccination. Please contact your GP practice to arrange an appointment. You can find out more at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/. To opt-out from future text message reminders reply 1.
