Parents, do you know about the Tower Hamlets Baby Feeding and Wellbeing Service?

The Tower Hamlets Baby Feeding and Wellbeing Service offers free support and information for parents in Tower Hamlets.

Parents, did you know that how your babies and children are fed has a direct impact on their lifelong health and wellbeing? The baby feeding team is here to help you give your baby the best start in life.

Before baby is born

Why not attend ‘Getting ready to Breastfeed’ workshops, or sessions on how to express your first milk (colostrum) before your baby is born?

Learn more about other pre-natal support and book your slot by visiting the Baby Feeding Service Eventbrite site regularly to see the latest events.

After baby is born

Get support on the ward at Royal London Hospital, feeding drop-ins at local Children and Family Centres or access expert help at home, via home visits, request personal 1-to-1 contacts at the Children and Family Centres and video calls as needed.

Drop-in groups

We encourage new parents to visit their local Children and Family Centre to join a baby feeding drop-in group for information and support in a caring environment.

Working in partnership

The Tower Hamlets Baby Feeding Service is delivered in partnership with the GP Care Group and Barts Health NHS trust, both services are accredited as UNICEF Baby Friendly. We also work with peer support volunteers from the Breastfeeding Network (BfN).
