Health Spot is a free, confidential, and friendly service tailored to support young people and children’s medical and well-being needs in East London. The service was co-designed with young people to help improve their access to healthcare and is provided by Youth workers and specialists including doctors, counsellors, and substance misuse workers.
The service received the ‘highly commended’ honour at this year’s Health Service Journal Awards 2021. The GP Care Group is proud to be a partner of Health Spot, alongside Poplar HARCA and NHS North East London Clinical Commissioning Group (NEL CCG).

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a very overwhelming time for Amy as suffering from a rare skin condition put her in a situation where she was vulnerable and at risk of not going out as her skin is sensitive and prone to infections. Through one-to-one support, Amy was informed about Health Spot and how a GP could help with her health needs through virtual appointments. This helped relieve the stress she was under due to being a high-risk patient and not wanting to leave her house.”
