Congratulations to St Stephens Health Centre on hosting a hugely successful sexual health screening event on Wednesday 25 September.

More than 70 patients were seen by a healthcare assistant as patients, 16-64 years old, were invited to book an appointment or walk in for a sexual health screening.

The event also hosted partners from:

  • Better Health who invited eligible patients to sign up for a referral to their weight management programme.
  • QuitRight who encouraged patients who were smokers to sign up to their stop smoking clinic.
  • The genetics team from Queen Mary's Hospital were offering genes testing to our Bangladeshi community.
  • Primary Care Network teams promoted social prescribing, the NHS app and the Healthy Start voucher scheme.
  • The weekly food bank was also in operation, providing their usual weekly service to the local community.

It was a hugely successful event to support our local community.
