Care Group colleagues demonstrated the real meaning of hospitality this month when they took time out to volunteer at St Matthias Homeless Project in Poplar.
It's quickly becoming a tradition for a group of Care Group colleagues to volunteer by preparing and sharing an evening meal with the homeless guests at St Matthias and this January was no different.
A number of Care Group colleagues, including Asra Yildiz (Corporate team), Michele Leworthy (Open Doors) and Marie Morgan (Health Visiting) pictured, came out to volunteer at the Winter's Night Shelter at St Matthias helping to cook the evening meal for guests and other volunteers.
Sister Christine from St Matthias sent a lovely message back to the Care Group, thanking the volunteers. She said: "Thank you so much for the beautiful food last night, I met some people on the way home and they really appreciated the variety."
