The Care Group with Tower Hamlets Together partners delivered the well-attended event at Tower Hamlets Town Hall on the 3 July!
The Healthcare Careers and Jobs Fair event was a collaboration between Tower Hamlets Together and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It offered residents and visitors a unique opportunity to explore live job vacancies and career pathways, learn about undergraduate and postgraduate training options, and chat with frontline staff.
With more than 30 exhibitors showcasing their businesses and approximately 650 visitors, the turnout was amazing! One of the exhibitors from the Care Group’s 0-19 Service commented:“Wow, what a great turnout! We had lots of lovely conversations, with job seekers as well as young people considering a career in healthcare. My jaws had started to ache due to the talking!”
The event included a series of career panel discussions, which featured engaging insights and inspiring career journeys. A huge thank you to our Care Group and Primary Care panelists for their invaluable contributions.
Ekramul Hoque, (title) one of the organisers of the event, said: “We would like to thank local members of our community who came out to chat to us as we spoke about our work and all the opportunities to join the workforce, it was a pleasure as always to be out in the community talking to people.”
