Tower Hamlets healthcare workers ‘Ride for their Lives’ for climate change

Posted on: 29 April 2022

On Saturday 23 April nine London Paediatric Healthcare Workers (including a Tower Hamlets GP, Whipps Cross Paediatric Consultant, and Barts Health patient transport staff member) dedicated one day to cycle 29 miles around East London to raise awareness about the links between air pollution, climate change, and children's health.

The cycling project series is called ‘Ride for their Lives’ and aims to encourage healthcare workers to take action to protect their patient's futures. This year’s theme was about collaboration, so our avid cyclists stopped by The Royal London Hospital, Homerton Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital, Queen's and Newham Hospitals to spread the word about the climate and nature crisis within the healthcare sector.

A special thanks to all that hopped on their bikes and took part in this climate change project.
