BOLOH - New helpline supporting parents of newborns and young

Posted on: 30 November 2021

This winter, the BOLOH helpline is supporting parents of newborns and young children in managing coughs, colds, and chest infections. The helpline’s name, ‘BOLOH’ means “to speak or to talk” in Urdu and Hindi.

Barnardo’s has partnered with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) to provide support, advice, and signposting service to all worried parents, with a particular focus on Black, Asian, and minority communities.

Healthcare professionals can refer patients to the helpline and thereafter an advisor will contact patients. Helpline advisors are trained to provide advice about respiratory illnesses in children aged zero-three.
