Anyone in the UK can choose to register with a GP. Your GP can help you to access healthcare services.
Be assured that the information your doctor has about you and your health is confidential. During the process of registering, you may be asked for proof of your address or ID. If you don’t have proof of your address or ID, tell them you don’t have it. You can still register with a GP.
If you have proof of address and ID, try and provide it if you can.
For more information about registering with a GP visit the NHS website or use Doctors of the World GP access cards.
