Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, offered his praise and thanks in a letter to our Social Prescribing service for their recent collaboration with Santander cycles. We launched a cycle scheme this summer offering residents a 75% discount on Santander Cycle Hire to help residents get out and about in the borough.
Mayor Khan said: “It is wonderful to see partners coming together to support the health of all Londoners. I am looking forward to hearing more about how your clients benefit from this offer.”

Social Prescribing addresses the social factors impacting your health and wellbeing and you may be referred to our service by a GP or you can refer yourself.
Sahdia Warraich, Care Group's Social Prescribing Service Manager, said: "It’s fantastic to see our services acknowledged by the Mayor of London for the work we do locally in Tower Hamlets. Our service received more than 10,000 referrals last year and demand continues to increase. Financial problems are a key concern and so discounted offers make a huge difference.
"We hope this scheme will help people get out and about to explore the borough on their journey towards better health. The combination of nature, community and exercise have a proven record of addressing many of the health issues our residents face, which is why this scheme and the Mayor’s acknowledgment of our work is such positive news."
