3–4-month check

How your baby is developing and preparing for solid food

This is usually with a Staff Nurse or a Health Visitor. It is a follow-up to the 6-8 week check to ensure your baby is developing well and promote healthy choices for you and your baby.

This is a stage when parents start to think about introducing your baby to solid foods – although solids should only be introduced after six months. This is because babies are not properly developed for solid foods until this time.
