Waltham Forest Parent & Baby Emotional Wellbeing (PBEW) Service

The Parent & Baby Emotional Wellbeing service is uniquely designed to support the mental wellbeing of parents and to foster healthy parent-infant relationships.

The Parent & Baby Emotional Wellbeing (PBEW) Service is a pioneering initiative within the Waltham Forest Family Hubs programme.

The PBEW service is built around the understanding that the journey of parenthood, though joyful, can be challenging. This is why our service is uniquely designed to support not just the mental wellbeing of parents but also fosters healthy, secure parent-infant relationships.

Our service is primarily a gateway for referrals and care navigation for parents and families who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health and/or emotional wellbeing difficulties during pregnancy and those who have children up to the age of two years.

Recognising symptoms and seeking timely intervention supports the wellbeing of parents and the healthy development of their children. Whether you are a healthcare professional or other practitioner, a loved one, or someone experiencing these symptoms, remember that help is available, and early intervention can lead to better outcomes for families.
